Five for Friday - 5 Best Nutrition Resources on the Web
7 DECI'm a bit of a nutrition nut, and when it comes to reading about different types of diet, macronutrients, eating plans and anything to do with nutrition, I'm on it like a tramp on chips. (Low carb chips of course.) I enjoy reading about pretty much any type of diet and nutritional strategy, even if I don't necessarily agree with what is being promoted, and like looking at the subject from different angles. Here are 5 of my favourite nutrition sites I often visit. Again, I don't necessarily agree with everything on every one (if I did, I'd be doing some bizarre mix of paleo, combined with calorie counting, fasting, frequent feeding, high carb, low carb, high fat, low fat, protein-filled diet, whic...

Stepping Up the Twitter Game - Proper Link This Time!!
23 NOVI made a balls up of the Twitter link in the last blog - here it is with the correct link. Short one again today. I've decided I'm now going to blitz the world of Twitter. I've had a Twitter account for over 2 years, but in that time have only managed a couple of hundred or so Tweets, and spent more time getting confused by hashtags and annoyed at the 140 character limit than actually doing anything useful with it. ...
Stepping Up the Twitter Game
23 NOVShort one again today. I've decided I'm now going to blitz the world of Twitter. I've had a Twitter account for over 2 years, but in that time have only managed a couple of hundred or so Tweets, and spent more time getting confused by hashtags and annoyed at the 140 character limit than actually doing anything useful with it. The main thing I'll be doing is a tip of the day, regarding training, diets, injury prevention, health, and the usual fitness type guff. So if you think I'm not a complete bore, and want to hear something I have to say that isn't a rant about the fitness industry, then follow me. You ...
My Latest Articles on BreakingMuscle.com and The Personal Trainer Development Center
22 NOVHey Quick post here, but I've had two articles go live on a couple of different and "new for me" sites. The first one was on Cardio Training. But not as you know it - this is Alpha Male Cardio. The toughest God-damn carido you've ever set your sorry little eyes on. Take a gander - http://breakingmuscle.com/strength-conditioning/alpha-male-style-cardio-training The second was on personal training guru Jon Goodman's site - the Personal Trainer Development Center - ...
Blood Sugar, Pecs Magic
19 NOVI’ll admit it, I wrote this blog purely on the title, which came to me while listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers. I don't know whether it's the cleverest blog title in existence, or the run away winner for the worst ever. At that stage I really didn’t have anything to write about, but I figured there must be something in the title that could be turned into a blog, so here goes. A blog on blood sugar, and awesome pec exercises. Tips of Managing Blood Sugar Leve...
Five Awesome Exercises You're Missing Out On.
16 NOVIf you're reading this, you've hopefully got your basics covered -- squats, deadlifting movements, hip hinges/swings, presses, pulls and core stabilization work. If you haven't it's time to go back to the drawing board, but considering most of you are probably doing A-ok on the fundamentals front, let's spice things up with some awesome exercises that likely aren't in your routine at the moment, but that you could get massive benefit from. This exercise may be "new" and "unconventional" but it's far from awesome. Unless you're training for the circus that is. ...
