Five for Friday

1 FEB
Hey. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve Five for Fridayed. I’m really not sure that I can use that as a verb, but let’s just go with it for now. What with different blogs, an exciting new online diet coaching project and writing articles for other sites, I’ve neglected my traditional 5FF posts, like an unwanted dog with a gammy leg that’s been left outside in the rain to stop him stinking out the house. Fear not though, this week marks the return of Five for Friday. Just a few random pieces this week, but it’s good to get back to the old format all the same. Enjoy..... 1. 21 Ways to Win Friends and Influence People in the Gym ...

Six Nutrition Rules to Maximise Your Gains: Part 1

9 JAN
This is a pretty old blog that I put together well over a year ago, but never actually did anything with. Like a piece of rotting fruit left out in the sun, it sat there in my documents, festering away, getting more and more stale as time went on. I came across it clearing through some stuff this week, and figured "Hey, why not actually do something with this?" So I swatted away the flies circling round it, gave it a wipe on my tee shirt, a few edits, some copying and pasting, a couple of pictures, and hey presto, here's a new blog. I had to change some of it to align with what I currently think about nutrition (which will probably be all chang...

6 JAN
It doesn’t matter who you are, New Year brings aspirations of ripped abs, shredded delts and glutes so veiny they look like a 3D road map. Okay, maybe you’re not looking to go quite that far, but everyone wants to beat the post-Christmas bulge and at least drop a few pounds and get a little leaner. With that in mind, here are my top 5 best articles on fat loss ever.   1. 50 Rules of Fat-Burning ...

Five Tips for Surviving Christmas

22 DEC
Here it is, the one you've all been waiting for -- the pre-Christmas blog with all the information you need to come out the other side of the festive season with the waistband of your jeans still intact.Apparently Christmas is "a Time for Indulgence" but when, like the majority of the general public, you spend the other 51 weeks of the year gorging on rubbish, Christmas is pretty much just another week. However, as the fitness-savvy, training enthusiast I know you are if you're reading this article, you realise that while it might be nice to take a bit of a break over the festive period, going completely off the wagon can wreck months of progress.Seriously, I've seen close on a stone of weight gain in under a fortnight in people who've just let everything go over the holidays. So, ...
